In what is now the 50th year of hip hop, I'm excited to contribute this new work to our great culture.

This album is a combination of my 35 years of love for hip hop and my 46 years of life. One of the records sampled here i bought when i was 13.

This release is mostly inspired by the sound and vibes of Public Enemy, The Native Tongues, Wu Tang Clan, ICE-T, Beastie Boys & Rick Rubin. There are of course so many more elements but these are the core inspirations.

Once again 90s and classic rap meets Afro inspired rare groove. 10 new remixes are served up with all the 808s, horns and percussion you can handle. This production explores the diversity of experimental afro funk and highlife with an old school hip hop aesthetic.

Ive done this album differently. This time all the tracks are professionally mixed and mastered by a studio engineer. Previous to this release I have done all the mixing myself. I can hear the upgrade and you hopefully can too. Every vocal acapella is sourced from the original 12 inch wax and sounds legit.

I'm continuing to push the boundaries of what a DJ album might be. This is the sequel to "A hip hop lovers African safari soundtrack" the remix LP I released in 2021.

This is a DJ mixtape, a remix album, a theme, a concept album and more. Whatever you want to call this, the aim is to give new life to forgotten sounds and progress hip hop, sample and DJ culture. Most importantly my mission is to shine light on the artists in the mix.

Purchase includes download of all the album /instrumental and clean versions. I did this especially for my DJ brothers and sisters. Only the album versions are available to stream. The instrumental and clean versions are included as bonus tracks.
