This is a comedy. Don't take this release too seriously. It's really just a Beastie boys super fan thing i did for my own enjoyment.

If you're not familiar with the album "Country Mike's Greatest Hits" your'e not alone. It's an obscure comedy country album lead by Mike D aka Country Mike and features Beastie Boys on instruments and backing vocals. The album was only given away to friends of the band around 1999. It's been bootlegged ever since.

I decided to remix the entire album using just the 808 drum machine. My goal was to turn the album into a country rap album. I also wanted to give Beastie Boys fans some fresh material.

The source material here is not particularly "dope" so exit now if you're looking for some dance-floor edits. This is an album to kick back and smoke a blunt to and enjoy the hilarious ramblings of Country Mike over some old school drums.

I feel it's impossible to appreciate my work here if you are not familiar with the original Country Mike album. Here is a link to it.
